Meeting Our Members: SHL Medical

Founded in 1989, SHL Medical  is a Swiss company with Swedish origins that has grown into a global leader in self-injection solutions. Today, SHL Medical employs nearly 6,000 people worldwide and supports patients in more than 75 markets. 

Taiwan plays a central role in SHL Medical’s global operations. The Taiwan site is home to around 5,000 employees representing 48+ nationalities, and continues to expand as global demand for advanced self-injection solutions rises.

Last week, SwedCham Taipei, represented by Vice-Chair Person Louise Wikström and Executive Director Pojanath Chao, had the pleasure of visiting SHL Medical. We were warmly welcomed with an insightful on-site tour that offered a close look at their manufacturing processes. We even enjoyed lunch at their in-house cafeteria, giving us a glimpse into daily life at SHL Medical and its strong Swedish heritage and people-focused workplace culture.
