A Message from Our New Executive Director

I am delighted to be joining the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei as Executive Director.

Taiwan has been an important part of my life for many years, both personally and professionally, and I am excited by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that brings together Swedish companies, professionals and friends of the Swedish–Taiwan business community.

I come to the Chamber after many years working in leadership, business development and community organizations in Taiwan. One lesson I have learned throughout that experience is that strong organizations begin by understanding the people they serve. For that reason, my first weeks at the Chamber will be devoted largely to listening. I will be meeting with our members, Board members and Young Professionals to hear what they value about the Chamber, what they would like us to do more of, and where they believe we can provide greater value. I will also be reaching out to Swedish companies operating in Taiwan that are not currently members. I want to understand what the Chamber could offer them and how we can build a broader and more connected Swedish business community here.

The Chamber already provides an important platform for relationships, exchange and cooperation. My aim is to build on that foundation: strengthening engagement among our existing members, welcoming new participants, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and ensuring that membership provides tangible value.

Most importantly, I would like the Chamber to be an organization shaped by the people who participate in it. So if you are a member, a Young Professional, part of a Swedish company in Taiwan, or simply someone with an interest in strengthening Swedish–Taiwan connections, I would very much like to hear from you.
