Yesterday, Team Sweden had the pleasure of attending the InvesTaiwan Spring Reception.
We were warmly welcomed to an inspiring afternoon by the InvesTaiwan Team headed by CEO Emile Chang. We were also honoured to hear from Cynthia Kiang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Taiwan, who highlighted Taiwan’s continued commitment to fostering international investment and collaboration.
Operated by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Taiwan, InvesTaiwan serves as a dedicated one-stop platform to attract foreign direct investment and encourage overseas Taiwanese businesses to invest locally. It provides tailored support across site selection, tax incentives, and regulatory approvals, particularly within key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, R&D, and AI.
We had the opportunity to learn more about the Three Major Investment Programs, designed to support returning Taiwanese businesses, domestic corporations, and SMEs through financial incentives and infrastructure support. These initiatives clearly reflect Taiwan’s strategic approach and business-friendly environment.
The afternoon concluded with networking and the opportunity to reconnect with both familiar and new faces over great food and engaging conversations. It was especially a pleasure to connect with our member SHL Medical, meeting Charlotte Hsu, PR & CSR Manager, and Sara Wu, Program Manager, at the event.
We are grateful for the warm hospitality and an insightful event and look forward to continuing to strengthen connections between Sweden and Taiwan’s vibrant business community.
