A while ago, the SwedCham Taipei team had the pleasure of visiting the “In Dialogue with the Nobel Spirit – Opening Ceremony” exhibition at our member, National Taiwan University, co-organized with the Swedish Representative Office in Taiwan.
The Nobel Prize was established through the will of Alfred Nobel and honors outstanding achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, peace, and economic sciences, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made lasting contributions to humanity. If you didn’t know, Alfred Nobel was Swedish, making the Nobel Prize an important part of Sweden’s cultural, scientific, and educational heritage.
The event was opened with remarks by Wen-Chang Chen, President of National Taiwan University, followed by Helena Reitberger, Representative of the Swedish Representative Office in Taiwan, highlighting the strong academic and cultural ties between Taiwan and Sweden.
After the opening ceremony, we had the opportunity to experience a guided tour of the exhibition. At the exhibition, visitors can explore the history, courage, and persistence behind the world’s most prestigious prize. Through rare artifacts, audio-visual archives, and interactive installations, the exhibition brings the essence of Sweden, the home of the Nobel Prize, to the heart of Taipei and creates a cross-generational dialogue with the Nobel Spirit.
📅 Exhibition Dates: May 4 – May 28, 2026
🕙 Opening Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
📍 Location: 2F, NTU Zonghe Lecture Building (臺大校總區綜合教學館二樓)
