A while ago, the SwedCham team had the pleasure of visiting our member, Volvo Trucks in Taipei, where we were warmly welcomed for an insightful visit.

Volvo Trucks in Taiwan is represented by Taikoo Motors Group, one of Taiwan’s largest and most diverse automobile distribution groups. With a long-standing presence in the market, the group represents a broad portfolio of international brands across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, buses, and motorcycles, while continuing to expand both in Taiwan and across Asia.

Since becoming the distributor of Volvo commercial vehicles in Taiwan in 1978, Taikoo Motors Group has built a strong and lasting presence in the local market. Deeply rooted in Taiwan, the company has for decades played an important role in connecting global mobility solutions with local customers.

As one of Sweden’s most internationally recognised industrial brands, Volvo Trucks has long stood for safety, quality, and innovation. With its roots in Sweden, the company is also closely connected to the Swedish approach to long-term thinking, responsible business, and sustainable development. Here in Taiwan, Volvo Trucks continues to serve the local market and support the movement of goods and industry across the island, with its vehicles a familiar and trusted presence on the roads.

The visit was also a valuable opportunity for SwedCham to share some of our upcoming events and initiatives for the year ahead, and to align on how we can continue creating meaningful engagement together.

A big thank you to Patrick Cheng, Homologation Manager, Laya Hsu, Homologation Officer, for the warm welcome, the lovely fika, and your kind hospitality. We greatly appreciated the visit and look forward to continued collaboration.
