We are very pleased to introduce Johnny Wu from the Office of International Affairs, National Taiwan University, who is standing for election to the Board of Supervisors for the first time.
As a representative of NTU — one of our newest members — Johnny brings a fresh and important perspective to the SwedCham community. We are especially thankful for his willingness to step forward and contribute at this stage, helping to further strengthen the connection between academia and industry.
Johnny currently serves as Head and Director of Global Relations at NTU, where he plays a key role in shaping international engagement and talent development. His career has been dedicated to building bridges — between students and industry, between Taiwan and the global community, and between ideas and real-world opportunities.
With previous experience as CEO of the Center for Global Affairs and Science Engagement at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Johnny has been deeply involved in advancing Taiwan’s scientific ecosystem and fostering meaningful collaboration between research and industry.
What makes Johnny’s contribution particularly valuable is his clear focus on people and potential. He brings strong expertise in talent cultivation and industry–academia collaboration, with a vision to translate academic excellence into real career pathways — closely aligned with SwedCham initiatives such as Talents Connect.
Johnny sees the Chamber as a platform where these connections can truly come to life — where students, universities, and companies can engage in a more structured and impactful way, creating opportunities not only for individual growth, but for the wider Swedish–Taiwanese business community.
We are very grateful to Johnny for stepping forward and look forward to welcoming his perspective into the community.
