A Taste of Swedish Christmas at the Team Sweden Office

As Christmas is approaching, the 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 enjoyed a taste of Swedish holiday favourites: 𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐬), 𝐩𝐞𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐫 (𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝), and warm 𝐠𝐥𝐨̈𝐠𝐠 (𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞).

𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭:

Lussekatter is a classic Lucia treat. Their golden colour comes from saffron, one of the world’s most expensive spices, which in old Nordic folklore was believed to keep away darkness and evil spirits during the long winter nights.

The SwedCham team is happy to share that all of these treats will also be served at our upcoming 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝟕 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫.

✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭:

• A beautiful Lucia procession with classic Swedish Lucia songs

• A short traditional service led by Reverend Olof Olsson of the Swedish Church in Asia

• Swedish Christmas treats, including mulled wine, coffee, and saffron buns
