Board Candidate Spotlight: Louise Wikström

As our AGM is approaching next week and we prepare for a new Board term, we are very happy to share that Louise Wikström is standing for another term on the SwedCham Taipei Board.

As Director of Ekpac Taiwan Ltd, a trading company in industrial machinery with Swedish roots dating back to 1964, Louise brings broad business experience and a practical perspective to the Chamber. Her background in Business Administration and Marketing, together with her many years in Taiwan, gives her both commercial insight and a strong understanding of the local context.

More specifically, after having lived in Taiwan for nearly two decades, Louise has developed a deep connection to both the local community and the Swedish presence on the island. This connection is also reflected in her long-standing commitment to the Chamber. Since joining as an individual member when the Chamber was founded in 2012, she has remained closely engaged in its journey and development. Over the years, Louise has valued the opportunity to contribute to the Chamber’s overall direction, while also helping ensure that its finances remain sound. Her continued involvement reflects a genuine belief in the Chamber’s potential to grow its presence, welcome new members, and create meaningful value for the community it serves.

Beyond her professional role, Louise is also involved in PACK Taiwan, a non-governmental, non-profit organization working to reduce the number of homeless dogs in Taiwan. In support of this meaningful cause, Ekpac together with NorQual AB will donate a spot at Sweden Days 2026 to PACK — a lovely example of how business and community engagement can come together to create a positive impact.

As Louise stands for another term on the Board of Directors, we are truly grateful for her continued support, commitment, and contribution to the Chamber. Her experience, thoughtful perspective, and long-standing dedication mean a great deal to our community, and we are very happy to have her with us on this journey 💙
